About me
I have been acting since the age of 6 in various theatre productions around Cyprus and Lebanon. I moved to London in 2010 to study practical filmmaking at the Met Film School in Ealing and graduated in 2012 with a BA HONS. I then went to Drama Centre London to complete my MA in directing for screen. During my time at the Met Film School, I worked as a casting director on both a web series called ‘Ghost Class’ and feature film ‘Shark’. I also worked as a paid editor and director for promo videos/live music videos for the promotion company, ‘Movimientos’. Most recently I have been hired to direct a commercial for the horse racing silks company, ‘Allertons’. I attended the Drama Centre to better my understanding of working with actors and to further my skills as an actor, director, writer, and filmmakerReferees:
“Lana’s production management skills were highlighted to great effect on Level 6 Multi-Camera Production module and Level 6 Digital Feature Film Production module in both the casting and editing of the feature film. Lana did a really good job and was an excellent co-worker on both modules.
Lana has a wide filmic vocabulary. Her references to other films and film styles were extensive. Lana has excellent ideas and needs to have more trust in her ideas and instincts. Lana has done exceeding well in her modules, especially at level 6, achieving 1sts in modules such as Advanced Screenwriting, Digital Feature Film Production and Multi-Camera Production. I also especially enjoyed Lana’s impressive graduation film ‘Untouchable’ ”
- Victoria Trachy, Head of Quality, 2012
“Very clear communication and also good at taking on board various creative ideas about the video / content that was being edited
Good at harnessing the skills of other crew members on the live shoot.”
- Callum Simpson, Director of Movimientos, 2012
“On the Student Feature Film she played not one vital role but two, Editor and Casting Director. In the Editing department she was a vital third of the 3-person team, bringing the film to a successful state where it could be screened. In the Casting Department she was one half of a team, responsible for sourcing and choosing actors. She brought a level-headedness to all her work, responding to every challenge with enthusiasm and alacrity.”
- Jamie Nuttgens, Head of the feature film module, 2012
