About me
As a dedicated BA Film and TV graduate from Brunel University, London, my robust background in the film industry spans feature films, short films, and music videos. I bring versatility as a writer, producer, and director, firmly believing in a holistic understanding of filmmaking and adapting to various roles as needed. In addition to my professional experience, I am deeply involved in an independent documentary project focused on climate change. This endeavor takes me to a remote town in Nigeria, shedding light on the community's reliance on firewood and charcoal as cooking fuel, addressing issues from deforestation to excess farm waste due to a lack of municipal waste systems.
Motivated by a commitment to sustainable solutions, our project seeks to transform waste into a cleaner alternative for cooking fuel, addressing environmental concerns and enhancing community well-being. This reflects my dedication to using filmmaking as a powerful tool for advocacy and positive change.
Beyond my career and documentary work, I am a proud mother of three, embodying a rich mix of Nigerian and British heritage. This diversity, stemming from my white father and black mother, has given me a unique perspective as I've spent meaningful time in both the UK and Nigeria. This multicultural background enhances my ability to bring unique perspectives to storytelling, fostering inclusivity in creative projects.
I bring a proven track record of success to the table, showcasing a strong work ethic and innovative thinking. While I excel in team settings, my productivity and creativity also thrive when I delve into projects independently. This preference for focused, autonomous work aligns seamlessly with the flexibility offered in remote environments. I am confident that my self-driven approach positions me to contribute effectively to the team's success while embracing the benefits of a dynamic work setting.
My commitment to continuous learning ensures I stay at the forefront of industry trends, contributing fresh ideas to every project. I am passionate about leveraging my skills to create compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
Combining my multicultural background with my extensive exploration of cinematic works, I bring a wealth of knowledge cultivated through an insatiable curiosity for the art form. This enables me to approach projects with a discerning eye and a deep appreciation for the intricacies of the craft, contributing to the creation of impactful and memorable films. In summary, I am a dedicated and versatile filmmaker ready to elevate any project, whether in the professional realm or through impactful documentary work addressing pressing global issues like climate change.
