About me
I was first introduced to the film industry back in 2016 when I volunteered assisting to make props at DB Props in Shepperton Studios. I later went on to study and subsequently graduate from the University of York with a first class degree in Film and Television Production in the summer of 2021. By this time I had been working as an Art Department Assistant for 2 years part-time on TV and commercials around my studies.Since graduating I have worked on a range of productions in a Standby Art Director and Standby Props capacity where I have built an extensive standby kit, trolley and have my own small van. I also have a full, clean driving license and experience driving action vehicles, luton vans and motorbikes in both the UK and abroad. I am always open to working again in standby or dressing capacities.
I am also looking to further my experience as an Assistant Art Director after working in the role on the final 4 episodes of Death in Paradise Series 12 in 2022. Here my responsibilities involved going on tech recces, taking site surveys, making locations intentions, creating breakdowns, planning for script and schedule changes, leasing with production and other HODs as well as coordinating with the rest of the department. Since working on Death in Paradise I have been studying to improve my literacy on 3D modeling and drafting software such as SketchupPro and Layout.
When not working on larger productions I have designed over a dozen short films selected for festivals such as FrightFest, Aesthetica and Raindance, as well as music videos and promos. And in 2019 I designed the feature film Cardboard Fort, which was selected for the Austin Film Festival in 2021.
I love to work as part of a strong team on a diverse range of projects and am always seeking new opportunities to further my knowledge and skill-set within the department. I believe in a positive and respectful work environment, and will always endeavor to bring these values to any set I am involved with.
Some of my recent credits include:
Death in Paradise Series 12 (BBC One) as Assistant Art Director
Bad Sisters (Apple TV+) as Standby Props
The Curse of The Chippendales (Discovery+) as Standby Art Director Little Darlings (Sky TV) as Dressing Props
