About me
Rod is a skilled composer who has the ability to write and produce in a vast range of musical styles. Whether it is classical, rock, pop, techno, pastiche, jingles or stings, he delivers an original creative solution to any brief quickly and cost effectively.Until 1988, Rod Anderson was head of sound at Molinare Post Production where he produced and engineered hundreds of Radio and TV commercials, including award-winning ones for Ordnance Survey and the Economist.
Since 1988, Rod has been composing and producing music for a huge range of clients:
Documentaries include: The Emmy-winning 'Virtual History: The Secret Plot to kill Hitler' for Discovery, 'The Bigamists' the first major documentary for Sky One, 'Blame the Parents' for BBC 2, 'Conman' for Channel 5 and 'Trapped by My Twin', 'Strange Love' for Channel 4 and 'The Best Job in the World' for BBC 1.
TV advertisements include: Amstrad, Canada Dry, Freeman's, Champion spark plugs and Peugeot.
Radio ads for Sellotape, Debenhams and Hotpoint.
Cinema trailers for 'The People under the Stairs', 'Prince of Denmark', 'Haunted' and 'Tickets' directed by Mike Leigh.

Musical Theatre: Rod has written several musicals with acclaimed playwright Paul Prescott including 'Footsteps to the Moon' which first appeared at the Edinburgh Festival, was performed recently at the White Bear Theatre and the Cockpit and has been seen as far afield as Sydney, Australia and Istanbul, Turkey. He wrote the music for the Little Angel Puppet Theatre's 'The Snow Queen'. (5 stars, Sunday Times) Rod also wrote original music & was Sound Designer for the West End sell-out production of 'Round the Horne…Revisited' at the Venue Theatre, Leicester Square and on several national tours. He recently completed the music for the follow-up, 'Stop Messing About'.
Current Projects: Rod has just finished a complete refurbishment of his studio and now works with Logic Pro. He is scoring large orchestral works for several film projects, has been working on a new musical and is also busy producing new tracks for Cinephonix.
