About me
Example: "I have always been a creative individual so, once I'd graduated from college, it made sense for me to go into this field. The last seven years have seen me really immerse myself in my work – I've brought my unique style to some brilliant projects, from local charity work to national events. I'm now looking to build on this experience, and have a particular interest in...."*What a great example set, I too am like the droves of other employment-seeking-individuals on this site, the only difference is, I'm me and not them... no matter how succinctly this example describes me. Initially, I began my 4 year academic journey in the field of Video Game Art & Design until the demand became more focused on technical work such as coding I then entered into the Media Arts & Animation program. I then spent 2 years making animations and filling my portfolio with the work I'd managed to "complete" during my time there. One day, in my last year, someone came to our campus ready to hire new film students for a million dollar budget feature film being shot locally. I was not a film student, but I was interested. I went, I asked questions, I got the job as a PA. I met the head Production Designer and she inducted me into the Art Department where I found I sincerely belonged.
I've had few moments in my life where an acme anvil of obviousness has fallen on my head and I can easily say, working on a film set, being in charge (more or less) of what an audience will see in a scene, produces and incredible sense of accomplishment for me. In the end isn't that what human beings really want? That, and a legacy, that is what comes next for me. I have an endless imagination for stories and visuals, persistently attempting to push that envelope, or think inside of the box while everyone else is outside... So if you have any other questions for me please, please ask.
