About me
A London based Costume designer and recent graduate of University of the Arts London. I was led to pursue costume through a combined love of classic cinema and garment construction. A fascination with nostalgia strongly influences my work, particularly themes of 20th Century Americana and the dreamy romanticism that comes with it. This captivation has lead me to studying and recreating vintage clothing. By developing an eye for the cuts and details that make each piece unique and characterful I aim to recreate the feel of authenticity in my own designs.Outside of university I have gained ample experience designing costumes for short films and working on set for larger projects. The challenge of collaborating with a director to pinpoint who each character is and how they would present themselves is the most compelling part of the process for me. In the future I hope to create clothes that embody an atmosphere and tell a story, whether as bespoke stand-alone pieces or costuming that drives the narrative of a larger production.
