About me
I've always had a great passion for film and television. Ever since I was a child, I dreamt to see myself one day working in this industry. Even though I some how ended up majoring in fashion design when I entering the college, I never let go of my passion for film/TV, and furthermore I found my designs have always tended to be more theatrical through out my education in fashion design - as I like to give them some characters/background stories. And that occurred to me: It's time to combine my profession and my passion together -which is costume design. So after graduating from the university in my country, Taiwan, I decided to come to Los Angeles, where the great film/tv productions are brought to life everyday, to pursue my dream of being a costume designer.
I've been blessed to work on some creative productions from set costumer, pulling wardrobe to designing costume. And every experience just makes me more certain that working in costume/wardrobe for film/TV is what I want for my career - I love how much creativity it generates when comes to create costume, the excitement working on set, different challenges happening everyday. While these things are what sitting in the office at apparel/fashion design companies would lack.
And I'm now looking for more Costume/Wardrobe opportunities to build on this experience.

Additional information:
Coming from fashion design does have its advantages. I've learned the knowledge of pattern-making, drafting, sewing, fabrication, illustration, fitting, technical design and many more -
Basically every ability that needs to build garments from scratch.
And all these make me not just can pull the wardrobe but also able to know how to make them fit better to the actors and even fix the clothes if there's damage. And if some costumes are needed to be custom-made by experienced tailors/costume makers, I can also understand and communicate with them better as I've learned the construction of how garments are built. Also, when breaking down the scripts, I can spot or picture more details for each character's wardrobe since that's what I've been doing in fashion design: besides creativity, everything is also very detail-oriented.
