About me
I am in my third year at kingston university studying dance. I am hoping to successfully audition for a contemporary dance company based within London and begin my career. I am extremely hard working and have the drive and passion to succeed. I am confident I will do well and will excel within the industry. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, running, visiting museums and practising my technique in a dance studio as I feel this is very important for my growth as a dancer.Skills

Highlights
-
I began my dance experience at the age of 4 as a hobby at a local dance school in Coventry. I went on to study dance through to btec level.I then progressed on to Alevel which included studying Richard Alston works, contemporary and ballet techniques and choreography. After achieving a C at Alevel I advanced to Stratford Upon Avon college. Here I gained a merit in HND in Performing Arts Dance. I had opportunities to study choreography, ballet, contemporary, site specific, Graham and Cunningham techniques in depth, commercial and also begin to focus on my transition into the industry. This included producing a PDP plan to ensure I achieved my goals, creating a portfolio and continuously working on a professional CV at industry standard. After completing my course here, I chose to move to London and enrole at Kingston University to top my qualification up to degree level in dance. The course has a multicultural focus and I am studying street dance, contemporary (hofesh schechter) and classical ballet techniques and bharatanathyam. This practical element is done alongside a Research Project where my study is focusing on technology within dance and Wayne Mcgregor's contribution to the development of the arts. After completing my degree course I hope to become part of a dance company based in London as this is what I want to do with my career.
