In a harsh dictatorship the population are starving. An old man tries to get the townsfolk to share what food they have, without success. He gives his own food to his beloved grandson, and tells him a story about the time he visited the moon, where a population of rabbits share food. It is time for grandfather to visit the moon again. His grandson wants to go too. But he has to stay behind. In memory of his grandfather He exhorts the townsfolk to behave like the rabbits on the moon.
