A short film about a young Moroccan woman's struggle to get a divorce from her husband through a Sharia law court in East London.

It's a present day court room drama set in a backroom Sharia law council in London. We follow a young Moroccan woman named Samira, trying to get a divorce from her British-Pakistani husband. The problem is she’s too ashamed to reveal her reasons and the Islamic judges won't annul the marriage until they can justify why. Furthermore one of the judges accuses Samira of only trying to get her divorce now, as she no longer needs a spouse to live in the UK. The story climaxes with Samira revealing her husband's big secret; has he had an affair? Does he abuse her? Does he live in sin? Well you'll have to wait and see when the film is finished, which we can only achieve with your help but I can assure, it's a surprise and a real issue amongst our communities, whether you practise Islam or not and one that needs to be in the public arena.
