A reluctant young girl fights for survival against a suicide pact, forced onto her family by a cult they joined.
A family attends an assembly run by a Brethren they joined. They bring their reluctant daughter, Jess, with them at her mother, Jennifer's, insistence. During the assembly their leader, Isabelle, announces that it will be their last assembly because the Brethren is closing and they share a toast to celebrate their time. Jess discovers Isabelle's son, Ronald, has a strange disease, which Isabelle tries to hide. Jess attempts to escape but Jennifer and two others; with similar conditions, try to stop her. She escapes into the woodlands, where Jennifer catches up to her and they fight. It ends with Jennifer dying and Jess distraught. Her dad Richard finds her and they leave.
