Faithful confrontations during the liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto.
As the Nazis deport some 300,000 Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942, a member of the Jewish Police’s luck takes a turn for the worse after forming a rapport with a young Nazi officer. Facing his execution, the Jewish man remains silent as a superior officer executes fellow members of the Jewish Police before him. His refusal to beg for his life frustrates his executioner. Acknowledging that the younger officer is uncomfortable watching this Jewish man die, the complexity unravels as the superior officer orders the young officer to execute the man.
