Editing

Hi Everyone,
Something just occurred to me: When we send a recording, are we supposed to have edited it ourselves, or are we expecting the client to edit things as they see fit?

Hi Mike, it is my belief that you should edit it, compress and EQ it before. More chance of getting the gig if it sounds pro.

Ah ok.
My concern was that because the more a piece gets edited, the worse the quality becomes, it would be better to leave it as more or less raw and then the customer can tweak it to their own requirements, you see?

Always edit - always make it sound as good as poss. Always do the tweaking for the client unless specifically asked otherwise!
