Top acting tips from Casting Director Aisha Bywaters
On Tuesday 17th April, Mandy had the pleasure of hosting Aisha Bywaters, the Casting Director of Black Mirror, to lead our latest #MandySurgery. Aisha was persistent in delivering key insight and career advice to our shortlisted Mandy members.
Top Tips from Aisha:
- When at an audition, make sure you control the room and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
- Don’t be afraid to think outside the box when auditioning and also remove any old credits.
- Judge your proactive emailing by your own social standards.
- Look at the scene order on your showreel and make sure you are ‘seen’ within the first few scenes so you stand out.
