About me
Well here goes............a little about myself.....I was lucky enough to be born into a family of artists (my mother, theatrical costumier and my father a proffesional musician) in the United Kingdom (Kendal) in 1956 and from the start it was obvious that I was an actress to be, having at the age of two/three already embarased my mother on various occasions with my story-telling to any available audience on the street, on the bus, in the local store etc.
When I started to attend school I was always to be found in every type of produccion... plays, concerts and recitals; and at eight or nine I appeared in musicals such as "The King and I", "South Pacific", "Half a Sixpence" etc.
Later I was to be found in all the local theatrical/screen societies and appeared in a varied number of producciones.
In the early 70's I became actively involved in the creation of the "Brewery Arts Centre", Kendal, helping in everything from painting and building walls to publicity and of course its 1st major produccion. This being "Oh What a Lovely War" directed by Robert Atkins (ex -director of the "Roundhouse" theatre in London) in which I acted, danced, constructed scenery/props, helped with costumes and operated lights and sound equipment.
As I look back, in affection, on these times I realise that although I did not attend any of the major drama schools, I have had one of the best artistic educations possible......right out there on the boards........
From this time onwards I have not stopped, working solely as an artiste.
I am now redirecting my career towards film and tv, so if there could be anyone out there, who on reading this, is interested in this old lady..... don't hesitate........contact me!
Additional skills:
Having spent many years in circus I have a varied range of cicus skills from Ring master to truck driver.
Horse riding
Cycling
Skating
Many basic sports
Experienced in characterisation of cartoon characters in costume eg: Mickey, Minnie, Dinasaur, Hunchback Notre Damn, Telly Tubbie, Tweenie etc.
