About me
Having returned from a long-term contract as a school leader in northern Italy, I now live in Medway, Kent - just half an hour away from London. I have always tried to maintain my acting interests, even when fully committed to my teaching, and I have been lucky enough to be involved in various projects in the past couple of years. These have included a rehearsed reading of a new play by Jonathan Coe in London, working with Luca Guardagnino in Italy on We Are Who We Are, and this summer playing Boxer in Animal Farm for Spontaneous Productions in Sydenham, London.Additional skills:
Singing (Baritone), stage-fighting, motorbike-riding, horse-riding, Salsa, basic juggling and basic guitar.
Additional information:
In terms of acting, my strength is Shakespearean/Elizabethan/classic theatre and comedy. After training at Rose Bruford, I went on to work in Theatre, TV and other ventures - mostly in the Northwest. Theatre credits include Richard II, Dancing at Lughnasa, Great Expectations and several small-scale tours. TV included Emmerdale for a couple of months, Cold Feet, The Life and Crimes of William Palmer and The Beat Goes On amongst other things. I've been a professional, full-time teacher for the last 17 years. However, during that time I have regularly been involved in small-scale, profit-share theatre with Spontaneous Productions and provided voice-overs for a Lancashire-based production company.
