About me
Scott Collins, a passionate Actor born in Glasgow to parents David and Angela has always been interested in performing. As a small child he read plays and novels with his father who nurtured his creative interests.Throughout his school education he continued his growing interest in all things dramatic, and with a young appearance as a pirate on stage in Peter Pan at the Kings Theatre his future was clear. This was by no means a significant role but fuelled his desire to act.
Aside from acting Scott also had a passion for the military and in a decision that would change everything he enlisted in H.M Forces Joining the Scots DG Tank Regiment in 1996 this would be home for Scott for the next eight years. During this time he would serve in Germany seeing active service in Bosnia, Kosovo, and Iraq, gaining invaluable discipline and experience that would later shape him as an actor.
After leaving the Army in late 2004 Scott took some time to assess his future before deciding to return to what he loved most, acting. Starting with acting classes at night in Glasgow University Which only made him more determined to pursue his goal of become a trained professional in the arts.
He eventually arrived at Motherwell gaining entry to the acting course, spending his next three years building on his talents and developing his skills in acting and voice, including training in the Estill Voice Training System. During this time he gained a wealth of experience in improvisation and performance.
In the autumn of 2010 Scott Collins auditioned for and secured a position in the BA Honours acting course at Motherwell College, affiliated with Northumbria University. This course has seen Scott achieve a higher level of excellence in acting and facilitate him in appearing in a performance at the Criterion Theatre in London's West end. Scott graduates in June 2012 and will continue to raise the bar in his pursuit of a career in Theatre, Television, and film.
