About me
Triona O' Neill is an award winning Irish vocalist based in London.After graduating from the CIT Cork School of Music with a BMus and an MA in Vocal performance, she enjoys a diverse career as both a performer and a teacher.
Triona has shared the stage with artists such as Laura Marling and Wallis Bird and has also toured independently around the UK, Ireland and Europe with her band Eve & I. She has performed with the communion label, secret cinema and Ronnie Scotts group.
In 2004, Triona won a scholarship to to represent Ireland in the Governors School of the Arts in Kentucky, U.S.A. She entered the Cork School of Music in 2006 and was a featured soloist in many ensembles including; Opera Studio, CSM Jazz Big Band and CSM Jazz Vocal Ensemble.
In her final year of the degree Triona won the Pro-Musica award for voice and had great success at Feis Maitiu winning the Dramatic Operatic Cup and the Vocal Duets competitions. She also successfully produced and starred in ‘La Voix Humaine’ a thrilling one-act opera by Poulenc and made her debut in the Triskel Christchurch with an exciting ‘Soprano Duets‘ concert. Other recital credits include, 'La Chance est femme' recital which took place in the Curtis Auditorium and an Ella Fitzgearld tribute concert, where Triona received a distinction for her studies in the subject. Triona's love of jazz, soul and gospel has seen her tour internationally with various groups including the Tritone Jazz trio, CSM Jazz Big Band and CSM Jazz Vocal Ensemble.
After studying with some of the most respected vocal pedagogues in Ireland and Britain, such as Mary Mac Sweeney and Andrew Batchelor and masterclasses with soprano Emma Kirkby , Triona is passionate about music education. She has worked extensively as a private tutor and with schools and colleges as a musical director, producer, chorister, music teacher and more. Triona is also working with the Arts Emergency charity to develop and expand their educational outreach program.
Triona's Musical Theatre credits include shows such as The Sound of Music, Oliver, Grease, Guys and Dolls, Me and my Girl, to name but a few. She has also toured on the Irish and European festival and gigging circuit with her award winning band Eve & I. Since their move to London, Eve & I have performed at the legendary Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in Soho, graced Shoreditch's quirky vintage shop front scene and the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall in the Royal College of Music. Eve & I were also shortlisted for Glastonbury's 2015 Emerging Talent showcase.

Member of the tritone trio jazz group.
