About me
As a child, I learned to dance and, at 16, became a member of a tap trio known as 'The Three Barons'. The act was very successful until, at 18, I was called for National Service in the Royal Navy. On my return, I turned to musicals and toured for a while in "Annie Get Your Gun". Afterwards, I turned to the West End and "Kiss Me Kate", followed by "Guys and Dolls" and "Bells Are Ringing" all at the Coliseum. In between times there were summer seasons, a stint at the Windmill, and masses of television. "Bells Are Ringing" had several small parts to be cast from the dancers, and I ended by playing them all. This gave me a taste for acting. During the run, I became ill and was told that I should give up dancing. It was then that I applied for, and won. a scholarship to train as an actor at the 'Guildhall School for Music and Drama'. While at 'Guildhall' I won the 'City of London Prize' as actor of the year.Additional skills:
I would describe myself as an actor who can move.
Additional information:
After 'Guildhall' I appeared in numerous television programmes, mainly for the BBC. I also toured as Henry Hornet in "Sailor Beware" and played Brabantio in a fringe production of "Othello". I also took over the leading role in a fringe musical based on the life of Charlie Chaplin. This was with just three days notice.
