About me
After training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Gregory has over forty years professional experience in film, TV and theatre. He appeared in Coronation Street as Laurence Carnegie in scenes with Sue Johnston, and in the final episode of Poirot as the Coroner (both for ITV). He recently played Vincent Chapel in Doctors, Major Metcalf in the Disney film See How They Run and before that Paravicini in The Mousetrap both at St Martin's Theatre in the West End and on tour throughout the UK. He appeared at the Park Theatre in February 2015, as Tony, in an acclaimed production of Torben Betts's play Muswell Hill- 'Gregory Cox plays the incorrigible roue with disgraceful charm'(London Theatre Reviews ) 'beautifully done'(The Spectator) and has recorded the role of Rudyard Kipling in My Boy Jack for Listening Books and many audiobooks on Audible including Frontline by Dr Hilary Jones and a Royal Life ( memoirs of the Duke of Kent).Acting experience:
Trained Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (postgraduate training) after studying at the universities of Manchester and Warwick. Over 40 years film, TV, stage and commercials experience including three West End appearances and touring with the National Theatre.
Additional skills:
Full driving licence. Shakespeare teacher and workshop leader in US universities.
Skilled impressionist - Churchill, Gielgud, Olivier, Tony Benn, among others.
Experienced director on rehearsed readings - Gregory has also won two writing prizes in the last few years for the short play competition at Actors and Writers London.
Industry awards:
Raindance Festival 2019 award for Cosmos Within Us (Spirit of Raindance award) as live narrator for the VR entry by multi-media artist Tupac Martir and Satore Studio.
Additional information:
Experienced in roleplay ( UN, legal, medical and corporate) as well as audio books and voiceovers. He has also worked extensively as a drama coach. Over three decades he has featured roles in over 100 commercials, including ten years as Mr Meurisse - the chocolatier - for Kraft Foods in Europe.
