About me
Born and raised in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, I fell into acting at an early age when my brother and his best friend Scott Adkins (Holby City, Expendables 2) used me for their own amateur home movies. My brother went on to study acting at college and university and I saw him in many theatre shows and films which grew my love for acting. As I grew up I began acting in school shows and took Drama lessons after class, I also took work experience at a local theatre as a technician. After I had finished school I went to study Drama for three years at the Birmingham Metropolitan College where I had the chance to direct, act and write music for many shows, I also performed on the stage on many of the college's touring productions and festivals many of which won multiple awards. Towards the end of my studies I was given a special commendation during the annual 'Sir Derek Jacoby' festival for my performance as 'Victor' in the play 'One for the Road' by Harold Pinter, a role that had little lines but my presence on stage was certainly noticed and praised by the adjudicators. After I had finished college I began working and left the acting scene for a few years, it wasn’t until I ran into an old friend who was starting his own film company that I began to act again in short amateur films and competitions. A 60 second version of The Empire Strikes Back we made won multiple awards, including 'best short' Atom films and 'Best short subject' at the 2008 San Diego Comic Convention, it was also featured in German TV show 'Clipmania'.A small move into professional films followed with extra roles in The Tournament (Robert Carlyle, Ving Rhames) and recently Green Street 3 (Scott Adkins, Jack Doolan). In 2013 I worked with the company isore media who work with ex-addicts help them through recovery but also produce short educational films on drug mis-use, I played the role of Gav in 'Flat out and Back Again' which follows an ex user who gets back into taking drugs however overdoses, the film is educational but is also nominated for Royal Television Society award. Also in 2013 I will be working on a sequel to a short film called 'Powerless' about a powerless superhero in which I play the lead character, the original film we made in 2012 was part funded by Kevin Smith (Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob) and featured in the 2013 Birmingham Comic Convention. Also in 2013 I played a version of Batman in a television advert for the company 'Mothers Basement' which was also screened on select cinemas before the movie 'Kick Ass 2'. Most recently I have been involved in motion capture for animation (rotoscoping) featuring prominently in the animated music videos for Sylosis and the huge band 'The Prodigy' in their new track 'Nasty' off their latest album. In 2015 myself and best friend / owner of the small film production company betterfeelingfilms entered a 60 second remake into the 2015 empire movie awards which went on to win the 'done in 60 seconds' award.
