About me
As a highly motivated young man, I am interested in working as a theatre technician. I am a strong performing individual, demonstrating drive, enthusiasm, and initiative within the theatre workplace. With the ability to work well under pressure, I consistently complete tasks, quickly and accurately, to ensure productions run smoothly and problems are fixed quickly. An experienced technician, I have a wide range of skills throughout technical theatre and front of house.Additional skills:
I have worked on many In House and Touring Productions as an Apprentice at the Theatre Royal, Wakefield. Touring shows include The Mousetrap on tour, Joe McElderey Live in Concert 2018, Dave Spikey Live tour 2018 and Milkshake Live. In House productions include three Pantomimes and a variety of productions with the Theatre’s own young person's acting company such as Les Mis and Our House.
In the role of Head of Stage, I have been responsible for many In House and receiving tours and I have the experience of having worked on the fly's. Additionally, I have worked on the build and maintenance of various sets constructed in house, including Jesus Christ Superstar and Les Mis.
As well as stage and fly's, I have had the experience of rigging, plotting and operating lighting and sound, for various productions and touring companies, as well as the local amateur societies. Significantly, I have operated and plotted lighting for various John Godber productions, such as This Might Hurt and Empty Nesters Club.
My main interest within theatre is the role of LX, with much experience in working with generic lighting and programming mainly with ETC ION. However, I can adapt quickly to work with new consoles and intelligent lighting. In addition, I’ve follow-spotted for various performances.
