About me
I started in the film industry in 1998, in Victoria BC. After 4 years of working in the Locations, Set Dec, and Art Dept. I moved to Saltspring Island to work for an IMAX producer as a research assistant where I moved into a few roles as an assistant. In 2005 I took a hiatus from the film world to explore being a business owner. In 2017, I returned to film to take on a Set Dec Coordinator position. After that job I moved into the production office as a 2nd Assistant Production Coordinator, which I enjoy very much.I have an ability to blend into any production in many roles. My experience in the industry, on set and off, combined with my entrepeneurial and organizational skills has been best utilized in the Production Office. I am proficient in shipping, working with customs brokers, commercial invoicing, filing, distribution through various platforms such as SetKeeper, call sheets, crew/contact list creation, as well as starting up and wrapping a production office.

Additional information:
My other film work...during my time as a business owner, I worked on my script writing skills. In 2009 I was accepted to the 29th Annual (and sadly, the last) Summer Institute of Film and Television in Ottawa for script writing. It was an amazing experience, with Ken Chubb as our instructor and guest speakers like Denys Arcand. It really had an impact, but my business required my attention and continued with that until I sold it in 2014. I returned to Saltspring Island to help a friend with her business. I continued with my writing and in 2017, moved to Victoria to get back into film work. I entered one of my short scripts into a writing competition in Victoria, called CineSpark. After being short listed, I won the pitch and was given a prize package worth $9,500. 'Norman' was completed last year in October and just had it's world premiere at Short Circuit-Pacific Rim Short Film Festival in Victoria. I've just finished submitting to various film festivals around the continent and hope to hear good news soon.
