About me
---Please contact me on removed . I very rarely check messages here---Mark Andrews is an ambitious and dedicated sound specialist. Mark gained a degree in Music Technology, studying at the London College of Music and Media and since graduating has worked hard to establish himself as a sound recordist / boom operator.
In his first five years as a freelancer he has gathered experience and skills on a range of film sets, from small team corporate or documentary productions to working as part of a large scale drama film unit. A thorough understanding of digital and analogue sound recording techniques, a technical aptitude and experience in producing quality recordings in a variety of situations from outside broadcast locations to underwater in a swimming pool make Mark comfortable in any environment. Some might even call him an audio geek, so be prepared for a lengthy discussion if you ask him about microphone choice!
Away from the film set Mark has experience in both sound and video editing and the use of software including Pro-Tools, Final Cut Studio and Avid Media Composer. He has a keen interest in Foley, believing it to be a very important aspect of filmmaking, and has a minor obsession with tea.
