Eyal Resh is a live-action and animation filmmaker with a unique perspective as both a queer individual and an immigrant. Originally from Tel Aviv, he relocated to the US, where his work gained recognition and later received critical acclaim with national TV broadcasts in Israel.As an artist, Eyal's storytelling delves into the intricacies of the human condition, exploring themes of intimacy, sex, and communication. His lens as a queer immigrant adds depth and authenticity to his narratives, infusing them with diverse and enriching perspectives.
Eyal's exceptional work has graced renowned film festivals such as SUNDANCE, TRIBECA, LAFF, OUTFEST, and VIENNALE, while audiences worldwide can experience his creations through streaming platforms like Hulu and Amazon Prime.
His directorial prowess has brought esteemed talents to the screen, including collaborations with Tony Nominee Lauren Ridloff (known for her roles in "Sound of Metal" and "Marvel's Eternals"), as well as Jay Leno, Rona Lee Shimon (from "Fauda"), and the esteemed Dr. Ruth Westheimer for Spielberg's Shoah Foundation.
Eyal's passion for filmmaking led him to pursue an MFA in Film Directing from CalArts, where he honed his craft and further developed his unique artistic vision, influenced by his personal journey as a queer immigrant.
