About me
I studied Anthropology at Edinburgh and in my final year we did a module on indigenous cinema and filmmaking, and since then I always wanted to make films. I worked on a few projects while I saved for my masters, including winning a spot in the Amy Johnson Film Festival for a short doc on women in a man's job. I then went on to do an MA at the open city docs school and my graduation film, Love Thy Neighbour was nominated for a Royal Television Society Student Award. After graduating I worked at the Institute of Art and Ideas, filming politicians, artists and philosophers at our annual How The Light Gets In Festival, making online videos and producing podcasts. Our podcast Philosophy For Our Times reached number 5 in the philosophy charts while I was producing it. I also won a commission for the IAI from the BBC Ideas, making short films for social media channels. I now work freelance as a filmmaker and podcast producer, working for educational institutions on promotional materials, VR/AR production companies on immersive audio documentaries, and on music videos.Referees:
