Highlights
-
I have been trained for 3 years at Kate Simmons Dance Ltd, Warrington. I have been trained in a wide variety of dance genres: classical ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, musical theatre and spanish dance, all to Advanced standards. I graduated from college with a National Diploma in Dance Studies. I am experienced in partner work, and have touched on hip hop in recent months.
My main training focus was classical ballet, and I was fortunate enough to be invited to train at summer courses with RAD, Royal Ballet, Northern Ballet and Hammond School, amongst many others. I was also a Senior Cecchetti Scholar, representing the best young Cecchetti dancers in the country, performing regular shows and demonstrations for them, as well as training weekly in London. I was a Senior Hammond Associate, and Junior and Senior Northern Associate, training regularly, working on my technique, pointe work, partner work and more. Finally, I was runner up for the Mabel Ryan Northern Area Awards - Junior Category, and winner of the Mabel Ryan Northern Area Awards - Middles Category.
Since graduating from college, I have held multiple jobs, including working as Dance Captain for various show teams, assisting as Company Manager and being in charge of my own team, choreographing shows and running performance in France, Cyprus and Rhodes, Greece.
I am now resident choreographer for Full Beam Productions - a company run by myself. I create 3 different shows each year, which tour the UK and perform in care and residential homes nationwide. In 2016, the company won Best New Entertainment Company (UK), and was nominated for Best New Business at the Eastbourne Business Awards. My shows have helped to raise over £4,000 for charity, and I am interested in continuing this fundraising in 2017.
Through Full Beam, I also teach adult dance classes, and run private tutoring for children aged 3 and upwards, focusing on improved technique, confidence building and enjoyment of dance. -
Modelling is a new venture for me, however, I have successfully modelled for portfolio photographs before now, and I have worked with local photographers at Little Chelsea Gallery, for various projects.
I am comfortable in front of the camera and easily directed. -
I studied acting in school, gaining Trinity College certificates in various aspects of GCSE Drama, and a B grade overall. Previous to this, I studied at Stagecoach for numerous years as a child, was a star pupil of Helen O'Grady Drama Academy, and attended multiple courses which encouraged the learning of lines, and performing and speaking on stage.
I use my knowledge of acting within my choreography, creating stories through movement, as opposed to simply stringing steps together. I believe I have the ability to bring emotion out through my own dancing, and I certainly inject this into choreography on others as well.
Whilst at college, we studied Musical Theatre, and therefore basic acting through singing and movement, and I am confident in correctly emoting a song in the way which is intended.
In 2016, I performed as a mascot in Full Beam Productions' pantomime, James Penguin: Christmas Impossible, and have been cast as the Swan Princess, which involves speaking, in next years production. -
I have provided stories for various magazines and newspaper articles, and was featured in The Sun for their Valentine's Day Special, alongside my partner, Jim.
-
I am a confident lead singer, with training through my college in a variety of genres, including pop/rock, musical theatre and classical. I am a soprano with a wide range, and I'm comfortable with performing as a soloist or harmonising in a choir or duet. I was a featured Soprano with Culcheth High School Choir and Vocal Group between 2001 and 2006, before moving on to college, where I was a soloist in each annual show, and chosen to headline for the 3rd Year Leavers Performance in 2009, performing Kiss From A Rose by Katherine Jenkins.
I have performed on stages in the UK and abroad with my singing now, with a wide range of songs, from pop to classical. Most recently, I have been performing with Full Beam Productions, travelling around care and residential homes, and starring as the lead vocalist in their touring productions.
In 2016, I made it to the Grand Final of Britain Does Variety, after coming first place in my Regional Finals.
In 2017, I was selected as the winner of Wizard Radio's competition to secure a place auditioning for the Britain's Got Talent judges in Manchester. Here, I sang Il Mio Cuore Va and received 4 yeses from the judges - including compliments on my voice from Simon Cowell.
I specialise in classical music, and classical crossover style songs, taking inspiration from Sarah Brightman, Kristen Chenoweth, Katherine Jenkins and Hayley Westenra, amongst many others. Examples of songs are Il Mio Cuore Va (My Heart Will Go On from Titanic), Pie Jesu, Hallelujah, Girl in 14G, My Colouring Book, Bring Him Home, Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again and many more.
I am suitable for wedding performances, charity events, corporate parties, private bookings and resident singing positions aboard cruise ships and at holiday parks. I would also be happy being a part of a vocal group, and I am confident with harmonies, singing in different languages, and working with others to achieve the best results.
I am a confident flute player, having achieved grade 8, and continue to play for fun in my own home. I played in Warrington Youth Orchestra for multiple years, making my way up to 1st flautist in their top orchestra, and I played through school in flute groups, orchestras and concerts. I am also grade 6 on the piano, touring with a Swing Band previously, and extremely musical - in my past, I have played multiple instruments, often teaching myself, ranging from clarinet, to guitar, to cello. The dream is to be able to learn, play and own the harp! I am a confident sight reader.
