Titty Skittles

2018, 6 minutes

Closet trans woman, Lou, struggles in life while seeking to switch gender.

Lou talks to the audience while preparing her makeup and getting ready for the day, presenting herself as a man for convenience. Lou's life is a mess but she refuses to confide in her flatmate and friend, Simon, trying to convince him everything is okay, even though this could not be further from the truth. Lou is unable to fit in with life in general, getting dirty looks when trying to buy a coat from a charity shop and, later, coming to blows with her other flatmates, Craig in particular, while they watch football. The only person Lou feels able to confide in is the audience. She clearly has a problem with alcohol. Later, Lou has an appointment with her GP, to inquire about switching genders, who advises her to think about her decision and confide in somebody she absolutely trusts. This leaves Lou deeply angered and frustrated. She doesn't tell Simon how her appointment really went.
