Saving Time

Richard Williams
Voice Over: English

Hi Folks,

I'm very new to this voice-over well but thoroughly enjoying it and I love reading the forums seeing everyone is up to. I thought it about time to try and contribute something that will help others and in this particular note, to Save Time!

In my business for the last 10 years I've been using voice-activated dictation software which I literally stumbled upon when meeting a client was chatting away into a headset where as I thought he was speaking on the phone!

To cut a long story short I use voice-activated dictation software for everything which means that my work is up straight every day, my emails are answered almost instantly, my social media is constantly active. That means more time for me and stuff like this, right?!

The package I use is called Dragon Professional v15 and granted it costs a bit to get going but once you have in place, it's fantastic.

Contrary to preconceived ideas, it doesn't take long to get started and it gets better the more you use it.

It's allowed me to think straight and deliver what I hope is considered to be an exemplary service to my Global Partners who I normally meet face-to-face travelling round the world but now of course it's all done remotely which, to my surprise is working really well. However understandably they require good service standards and with this, you can be better than the rest.

It's also help me articulate my words far more clearly which (you guessed it) works very well with voice-over work.

Anyway, I just wanted to reach out and contribute and if you like this software get it from www.nuance.co.uk / it works better on PC than Mac

When I'm travelling I have a small "Clip Mic" and then in the office it links directly to my Audio Technics AT2020+

Happy Easter everyone.

Cheers

Rich
