About me
Currently in my 2nd year of my Lighting Design BFA at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA.Been working as a lighting technician since 1999.
Live in Seattle, WA but hope to continue to travel for work.
Additional skills:
I also have experience, both academic and professional, in props and set building, both wood construction and metal welding (MIG)
I have worked on sets from small black box theaters to large scale outdoor structures that hold world records.
Also as a hobby I build custom bicycles to keep my welding and basic mechanics skills sharp.
Industry awards:
I have completed two ETCP electrician training courses.
The first at Texas State University through the Academy for Production Technology and the second through the PSAV employee training course.
IATSE union journeyman
Additional information:
I also hold a degree in Anthropology through South Puget Sound Community College with credits from the University of Melbourne in Australia and Auckland University in New Zealand as well.
This gave me a good base of understanding for the year I spent studying Dramaturgy in 2013.
As a lighting designer, it is important to understand the context of whatever production I may be working on.
