This isn't the first open casting to take place this year.
Just last week, Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg put out an open casting for his re-boot of musical classic West Side Story.
Last year, DC announced a casting call for the lead in Nightwing, with director Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie) writing: "Don't leave your career up to chance. Believe in yourself.
"Be on yourself. Get an agent or a manager."
I’m going to just start up my own agency I think I will call it something original like mmmm Debby !!
And never use the phrase “open casting call’ it’s tired and way off the mark when it comes down to specifics ... not to mention a huge time waster ..:::
I think I am just right for the part wehere is the casting?
I realise you were trying to "Big Up" the excitement quotia by saying Open Casting...but use a bit of nouse....It is a very specific role you are casting for....
Obviously very specific and rare. Hardly a case of "open" casting.
more auld shite
That’s me out as well! I’m from Belfast though, would that help?
Indeed, when saying "Open Casting" in the title, they most certainly should have specified the narrow range they were looking for. Good luck to the short black female actor who gets it though!
