The video – available below – shows Hamilton's musical supervisor, Alex Lacamoire, excitedly discussing the production and meeting a few key members of the cast.

"We're at the end of a two-week process of learning the music. I've been behind the piano every day for eight hours a day just teaching music to everybody and it's so much fun," he says.

"The cast is so fantastic. Everybody is so well prepared. And there's a great energy in the room."

Other footage shows actors and musicians laughing and smiling as they take breaks in between practice sessions.

The producers of Lin-Manuel Miranda's hit musical released the video in the run up to Hamilton's UK debut at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London on December 22.

West End cast members include Jamael Westman as Alexander Hamilton alongside Michael Jibson, Christine Allado , Rachelle Ann Go, Tarinn Callender, Rachel John, Jason Pennycooke, Cleve September, Giles Terera, Miriam-Teak Lee and Obioma Ugoala.

The hip hop musical chronicles the story of America's founding father Alexander Hamilton and his relationship with Aaron Burr.

Hamilton won 11 Tony Awards during its Broadway run in New York, US, following a sell-out, Off-Broadway run in 2015.

The show moved to Broadway in August 2015 and enjoyed a record setting 16 Tony Nominations.

Tickets starring the original cast then skyrocketed in price, fetching $200 (£150) each and in some cases reaching a staggering $10,000 (£7550).

Not since Book of Mormon has a show enjoyed such demand along with critical recognition and celebrity endorsements from the likes of chat show hosts Jimmy Fallon and Oprah Winfrey as well as legendary comedian Steve Martin.

A second US tour is in the works and on February 14, 2017, Miranda confirmed that a film adaptation based on the musical is in the works

Hamilton will preview from December 6 and is booking until June 30 next year.

Yesterday, it was announced that off-Broadway Hamilton parody show Spamilton will close in January.
