Weather experts are calling the snow storm a “bomb-cyclone” and it is pummelling New York.

With six inches of snow and 60mph winds expected to blast New York City this weekend, there have been a number of closures across the city, including a tribute to AC/DC's Malcolm Young, which was supposed to take place at the Brooklyn Bowl.

Awards season may take a hit – with the closure of JFK airport, the Golden Globes may be missing a few people on Sunday (January 7) if the weather doesn't clear.

Broadway however, is alive and kicking with every Broadway show scheduled looking to go ahead as planned.
