CALL OUT FOR PARTICIPANTS: ELADA'S ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCE GROUP OFFERS AN INTENSIVE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM FOR ACTORS WHO ARE LOOKING TO DEVELOP ENSEMBLE ACTING SKILLS AND OPPOTUNITIES TO PERFORM.
UNIQUE & EXCITING OPPORTUNITY
This intensive course will provide practical experience of being an integral member of an ensemble theatre group, giving you the opportunity to explore the collaborative processes involved in creating and staging a site specific performance.
Over the course you will develop skills that enable you to exploit and realise the dramatic possibilities of a variety of texts before concentrating on a devising a fully staged piece of theatre.
Through the exploratory work you will –
• build on group contributions
• use a range of dramatic conventions and performance elements
• shape and structure a fully staged performance
• examine appropriate style and genre
• demonstrate collective intentions for an audience
You will reflect, evaluate and document throughout the process, responding to constructive feedback to further develop your work as a group.
You will work at developing a strong collaborative ethic, gaining appropriate techniques that will give you the ability to work with effective communication and focused skills in workshop rehearsals and in performance. You will explore important ideas in ensemble acting through psychophysical training inspired by three major practitioners: Jacques Lecoq, Michael Chekhov and Konstantin Stanislavski. In addition you will get the oppotunity to learn basic SCENOGRPAHY / SOUND and COSTUME DESIGN skills.
As part of the course you will be working towards collectively creating a fully staged devised production. This will be a site specfic performance (East London) and you will have the opportunity to work with top tier professionals who will help you prepare and stage the show as part of the Royal Docks summer festival https://www.royaldocks.london/whats-on/join-the-do...
