An opportunity to write the dramatic monologue you really want to perform!

A two-day course for actors and writers looking to create dramatic monologues for performance 17th/24th August.

‘They're murder to write, but monologues can take you into strangers' minds - and can stop an audience breathing.’ - Lynne Truss

This course, run over two afternoons, is suited to:

- actors looking to create their own work

- playwrights looking to develop monologue/duologues

- fiction writers drafting first person POV stories

- screenwriters utilising V/O.

The dramatic monologue is an ideal form for writers wishing to produce work which can be utilised on page, stage, screen or radio.

Writers write, and this course will focus on participants drafting their own monologues to be performed during class on week two. There will be a number of short reading exercises distributed in advance of class.
