Becky Sharpe is a film director offering an online Screen Acting workshop over five sessions, to work with a small group of actors and aspiring actors to develop their on-camera presence and audition technique.
The classes are from 3.30pm to 6pm (UK time) and run like mini workshops for specific scenes from films, including new film scripts created especially for you, the Actor. The online workshops involve script preparation, character breakdown, discussion, rehearsal and on-camera practice. You will need a webcam (the camera in your phone is fine!) as you will be working on-camera and these classes include lots of fun, practical scenework using the camera.
This workshop is ideal for newcomers to the screen to gain confidence on-camera and for experienced actors to develop their audition technique. Whatever your experience level, this workshop will build on your existing skills and get you ready for future Audition Success!
With many auditions and self-tape requests only giving you 24-48 hours to submit, you need to have the skills of script breakdown and character analysis working for you... and fast. This course will enable you to do that, and so to wow Directors and Casting Directors at screen auditions.
This Screen acting workshop with Becky is informal and fun! You will develop your skills in understanding scripts, you will improve your ability in accepting direction and you will learn how to find a Character's truth, all in a simple technique Becky teaches that allows you to get results fast. You will work with several scenes over the five sessions, and you will have fun working the scripts and filming them as you increase your awareness of human psychological behaviour for character work.
