THE SCHOOL is a 2-year professional actor training, based in North London and established by long-serving staff members of the Poor School.
This 100% practical, conservatoire-level training covers classical, contemporary and musical theatre and includes specialist work in voice, movement, singing, clowning, dance, animal study & stage combat. Classes are structured over evenings and weekends, thereby allowing students to work and earn whilst they train. The course is delivered by an exceptional staff team with a proven record of successfully preparing actors for the industry and culminates in a public season of plays and two industry showcases. Our graduates are eligible for Spotlight membership and student/graduate membership of Equity.
There is no upper age limit and we welcome talented students from all backgrounds and walks of life.
We are currently auditioning for January 2021 and video auditions are available.
