The Mandy Network is proud to present a panel discussion addressing the issues of gender representation in the entertainment industry. With men still outnumbering women by 2:1 in acting and crew roles, The Mandy Network is bringing together a selection of industry experts to discuss solutions for the underrepresentation of women in TV and film.


Meet our Panelists 

Serena Armitage Polly Kemp

Serena Armitage is an Academy Award® winning film producer and founder of Red Breast Productions. Serena worked for ITV Studios for 10 years before going on to produce and direct an array of award winning and BAFTA nominated television. In 2016, she won an Oscar for her first narrative short film Stutterer.


Polly Kemp is the co-founder and Director of ERA 50:50 Equal Representation for Actresses. She has been working in the industry for 30 years. Some of her credits include The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Peter Hall Company and screen appearances in the Oscar nominated film Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Amy Smith Jing Lusi

Amy Smith is the Head of Talent at the creative studio Framestore. She has been working in talent related roles within the visual effects industry for over 15 years, in both the UK and Canada. Amy chairs the T-Level panel for Media, Broadcast and Production, and is also part of the Next Gen Skills Academy committee Access:VFX, a cross-company initiative to promote diversity and inclusion in the VFX industry.


Jing Lusi is a British-Chinese actress. Her first television role was as ill-fated junior doctor Tara Lo in the BBC television seriesHolby City. Lusi was part of the original cast of the European premiere of Amy Herzog's award-winning play 4000 Miles. She currently stars in Sky 1 Stan Lee's Lucky Man as Lily-Anne Lau and co-starred in the film Crazy Rich Asians.
