    Days of Wine and Roses was an acclaimed teleplay by JP Miller which dramatized the problems of alcoholism.
    The drama depicts the slow deterioration of a marriage due to alcoholism as ambitious ad man Joe Clay gets his wife Kristen to join him in drinking bouts that soon begin to destroy their lives.
    That stage version had a West End premiere at the Donmar Warehouse in a Sam Mendes production directed by Peter Gill.
