A highly experimental piece of new writing using modern English in iambic pentameter. King Arthur is an enlightened leader who fears for the future of his state. How can he make sure his progressives ideals last forever? Although his people believe in tradition, he decided to impose democracy. But who will be his successor? ‘King Arthur’ was first performed as a staged rehearsed reading at the Bedlam Theatre in Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2008. It went on to full production at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009 when it was performed at New Town Theatre. In 2010, it was performed as an open-air promenade production in historic Craigcrook Castle, Edinburgh.
