  • Overview
"Low-Level Panic" by Clare McIntyre takes place in a bathroom, and is about three young working women in London's East End. It is a bright, warm, sometimes wet and messy comedy.

British playwright Claire McIntyre won the Samuel Beckett Theatre Award of 1989 for “Low Level Panic.” The play is an exploration of the objectification of women by men, and how women in turn
objectify themselves. Low level panic is the unspoken fear in every woman’s life of the consequences of sexual fantasy and sexual assault.
