About me
I have a background in Visual Arts and electronic music making using field recording, synthesised sound and various recording techniques (analogue and digital). Working with companies on productions and R&D's over the past year has been very creatively fruitful, working as closely as possible with the rest of the production team and the actors. I've enjoyed the experience of bringing my expert knowledge of sound creation and composition to these collaborations and would very much like to continue along this road. I've worked on new scripts, improvisation, movement work and interactive performances and have approached all with an open mind towards creating original and exciting work.Additional skills:
Sound and music production
Qlab programming and operation
AV knowledge

Music professional:
I'm an experienced theatre sound designer, producer and sound artist.
Working as a solo artist in tape looping, electronic and electro acoustic music making.
I'm currently a freelance sound designer, musician and producer. I've been producing my own music and sound for the past 5 years and have recently started collaborating with other musicians (playing live and producing material) and working with theatre productions as a sound designer and sound composer.
I have multiple skills including the use of Ableton recording and programming software, Qlab theatre audio visual programming and pure data programming software for audio visual work. I'm also a professional sound technician with a broad range of recording and operational skills.
My area of special interest is the processing of prerecorded sound through various devices and software to bring out the unexpected qualities of old and lo-fi recordings and samples. I really enjoy looking for mistakes or unwanted sound and playing with the randomness of this. I've been exploring this with analogue signal processing and recording but have recently started to explore this aspect of digital sound.
I've discovered a love of collaborative work over the past year after working primarily alone in recent years. I consider myself a creative in the broader sense of being able to engage with all aspects of the creative process, engaging with it and using it to problem solve the increasingly important role of sound within theatre. The decision to not make sound, to use silence is as important as the decisions made within the moments heard.
I'm also a nice guy, I enjoy a good chat and will throw my ore into any creative discussion.
I love working too.
