About me
Crew:My name is Dayvis Ferreras. I’m 26 years old and I’m a resident of The Bronx, New York. I would like to apply for this great opportunity to be a part your team. This feels like a big experience for me especially that I'm trying to be ambitious in pursuing my goals into getting into the film business. So far, my prior experience was being a Production Assistant in a webseries back in November of 2014. The webseries is called "Seeking" and I was privileged to work with them for their second season. I got to work with experienced people who taught me about everything about what it takes to work behind the scenes. Like them, I like working with people who have the responsibility to dream big and thinking big. For me, not only it would be a great to gain more experience, it would a great start towards a career in film through college and the future beyond. I hope during the time that is offered, I may not be a big factor but a contributing part of helping you guys with any project you guys are doing and also learn from you guys on what it's like to work in the film industry. I hope you guys will teach me more skills like the crew at "Seeking" have taught me. It's not only about building experiences and connections, it's about being around who have creativity and idealism to create a great masterpiece. Every task is key and I will do my best to follow it.
I’m a graduate of Bronx Community College (CUNY) and I graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. I'm currently enrolled at The City College of New York, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Theater. Before enrolling into BCC, I was previously a student at The College of Staten Island in which I took a couple of class in Film Introduction, Third World Cinema and Film Theory. At BCC, I was a member of my school’s film club for two semesters. Last year, I took a filmmaking course at the New York Film Academy, in which I participated in a two month program in production and directing. There, I graduated with a Certificate of Completion. I started at CCNY last Spring of 2015 where I took more film classes but also taking requirements of my theater classes. Until August 2015, I was employed at The Beekman Theater at the Upper East Side, where, in occasions, I worked as a concessionist, box office teller and an usher. I had been working there since August of last year. I currently work as a Studio Manager for CCNY's Department of Theater and Speech. My resume also details my experiences, mostly in film related work.
If you have any questions, you can contact at (718)-601-0820 or on my cell phone at (347)-607-4318 to arrange an interview, whether it’s on the phone or in person. Thank you for the moment out of your day to read my cover letter and consider my request.
Sincerely,
Dayvis Ferreras
