About me
By engaging my creativity with a pragmatic outlook I have been enabled to facilitate future artistic developments which will develop the UK arts industry. From a young age I was embedded in an artistic professional environment, employing most of my education at a specialist music school which nurtured the musicians of the future through exceptional teachers and high standards. From there I have pursued my passion for Theatre at the University of Kent, whose exceptional art department has enhanced my awareness of theatre from its historical origins to the future artistic developments and its changing identity in the UK and abroad. My M-level year at the University of Kent in Creative Producing is run by Dermot O’Brien. His experiences working as Director of Performing Arts at Arts Council England has been invaluable in my understanding of the industry. Our course has also covered dramaturgy with Prof. Peter Boenisch and seminars from leading professionals, including: Liz Moran (Gulbenkian, MacRobert Arts Centre), Robert Miles (Theatre Royal Windsor under Bill Kenwright, Brewhouse) and Andrew Dawson (Marlowe Theatre, Secret Cinema).
