About me
I am a set and costume designer with many years experience working across drama, contemporary dance and musical theatre. I was based in Brisbane for most of my career but moved to Melbourne in 2011 to take up a teaching position at the Victorian College of the Arts. Having left VCA at the end of 2016 I am now back designing sets and costumes for theatre productions having recently designed Red Stitch Theatre's 'The Realistic Joneses' and Expressions Dance Company's 'Behind Closed Doors'Additional skills:
I have designed across many forms of performance with companies covering the full range of scale, budget and resources which has resulted in the development of many practical skills in the management and construction of all elements of design.
Industry awards:
I am a member of the Brisbane critic's Matilda Awards hall of fame having won awards in 1997 for the design of QTC's Oz Shorts, 2002 for a body of work including Emma's Nose, Salt, (LaBoite) and the Four Play season of short works (Dogs in the Roof) 2007 for QTC's Glass Menagerie and 2010 for QTC's Grimm Tales
