About me
After entering the world of Locations in 2021 having previously built a successful career in theatre, I see the LocationsDepartment to be the ideal place to align my passions and interests with my skills and experience. I completed the Introduction to
Location Management course through NFTS, have a lot of relevant, transferrable skills and the ability to adapt quickly to the screen
industries. I have an intense curiosity and passion about places both landscape and architectural. My Architecture degree has helped
me to develop excellent problem-solving, analytical and interpretive skills that are of great benefit when sourcing and visualising
locations. I believe my strong creative instincts and design training allied with the practical nous from my experience as a technician
and production manager in theatre help me support the locations department.
A skilled technical leader with 17 years’ experience in highly respected West End and regional producing theatres and on
multiple high-profile national and international tours, including as Head of Department and Production Manager. I have enjoyed
working across musical theatre, repertory theatre, opera, contemporary dance, corporate events and large-scale outdoor festivals.
Working as a Production Manager in international touring theatre has given me extensive experience with logistics and
planning, budgeting, negotiation, assessing risk, contracts and travel in time-sensitive, high pressure situations. I enjoy working with
others and motivating a happy, organised and hard-working team. I am used to collaborating constructively with people from all walks
of life, from all over the world with varying priorities and outlooks.
I am conscientious and hardworking, well used to the long, unsociable hours that theatre & filing demand. In addition to this, I
am well organised, interested in the detail, able to cope with pressure and responsibility. I have proven myself to be able to deal with
the unexpected calmly (and with humour!). Being resourceful with excellent problem-solving skills and lateral thinking have been key
attributes to further my career. I have a strong desire to continue to learn and develop and an enthusiasm for new experience.
