About me
I have recently chosen to focus full time on my theatre design and performance installation practice, having originally qualified as a lecturer in drama, theatre and performance. I spent many years teaching and publishing on theatre space, set design, scenography and visual dramaturgy in university drama departments, where my main interests were in contemporary experimental theatre and design for new writing. My other relevant work experience includes working in the literary department of the Hampstead Theatre, and, in recent years, working across exhibition, event, high-end commercial and residential projects as an interiors and architectural designer.Additional skills:
Exemplary 2D/3D digital drawing skills using VectorWorks, AutoCAD and other design industry software - hand drawing, sketching, collage and storyboarding - meticulous craft and scale model making skills - extensive experience of scenic painting and specialist finishes - advanced knowledge of image making and layout using Photoshop and InDesign - extensive experience of costume and prop sourcing - 10 years experience of working with groups of (mainly) emerging theatre makers - working knowledge of Audacity - working knowledge of AV and multimedia technologies in performance - basic sculptural, prop and set building skills -
