About me
I am passionate about the world of costume and have spent the last few years developing my knowledge and practical skills in this field. I have just completed my degree studying Costume for Performance at London College of Fashion, where I have worked on numerous projects equipping me with technical skills and knowledge, whilst also incorporating my own creativity into my work. I have worked alongside film makers, photographers, costume students and professionals, makeup artists, 3d and prosthetics artists and actors. This experience as well as growing up in a large family has taught me communication skills and developed my confidence in working effectively as part of a team. I am inspired by the process of working with people of different skill sets and creative backgrounds to produce great work. Alongside my studies I have worked for five years in retail which has also grown my confidence and skills in working with others and interacting with a diverse range of people in a work environment.Additional skills:
I feel confident with hand sewing, using industrial and domestic dewing machines, embroidery, pattern cutting, fabric draping, breaking down, overlocking, period research, fabric sourcing, smocking, stretch wear, bias cutting, painting, photography and photoshop.
