About me
I am a writer, director and actor primarily working in film and theatre. I hold an MFA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media (Distinction) from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. My recent theatre credits include 'The Greatest Lover in the World' (Omnibus Theatre, 2021) which I wrote and directed for Untold Collectiv's Latinx Scratch, and 'Forts: a millennial Tale' (presented at Greenwich Theatre online and produced by CultureClash Theatre, 2020), a short play that I wrote and directed and which won the 'Voices in the Dark: Take Two' competition.I am interested in work that blends genres and styles, multilingual theatre and work that crosses cultural boundaries in dynamic, innovative ways. Theatre works that inspire me include Guillermo Verdecchia's 'Fronteras Americanas', Simon Stone's 'Yerma' and 'Hamlet de los Andes' by Teatro de los Andes. Film directors who inspire me include Alice Rohrwacher, Shohei Imamura, Ildikó Enyedi, Shane Meadows, Jennifer Kent, Claudia Llosa, Krzysztof Kieślowski and Levan Akin.
I'm on the lookout for directors, DOPs, sound and lighting crew, set designers, movement directors - in short, I'm always happy to meet new artists and make connections. At the moment I'm writing a screenplay about a Polish waiter trying to make it as an actor in London; a TV pilot retelling the history of a tiny Peruvian valley through the eyes of one cursed family; an audio play examining the daily burdens of living at a crossroads between various cultures and histories; a play about the social impact of the ayahuasca industry on an indigenous community in the Amazon... there's always something on the go.
