About me
This year I graduated from the Costume Design with Textile course at the University of Huddersfield. As part of the course I undertook a placement year where I worked at a variety of companies, one being Birmingham Costume Hire, where mainly I altered costumes ready for hire. From being on this sandwich course I have learnt how to use domestic and industrial machines, overlockers, and I am a confident hand sewer. I am also able to finish a task quickly but efficiently. I have also worked on TV and film where i gained some knowledge of being on set and working in the workroom, but these are skills I am keen to improve on.
At university I was a printer and so learnt a wide variety of printing and dying techniques, which I developed over 3 years.

Crew:
I am a graduate of the University of Huddersfield and in my final year I chose to design and make costumes for a regency style Beatrix Potter outdoor production. In 2016/17 I did a placement year where I learnt a variety of new skills whilst working in a range of different roles. Most importantly I learnt how to complete tasks quickly but efficiently, a skill essential in the costume industry.
In my free time I like to read books, particularly fantasy, bake, and practice my life drawing. I enjoy going to the theatre and ballet as it allows me to see a variety of costumes. In recent years travelling has become something I enjoy doing as I love exploring and learning about other cities. To keep fit I like to play tennis and go jogging.
